World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Item upgrades provide players with the ability to upgrade equipment that they already own. This can be done through any upgrader for items NPC.
Generally, upgrades increase an item's main stat and give it extras depending on the item type. Examples include Whistan's shield for FB sorcs, or Goldwrap for caster builds.
Armour
Link's armor is a crucial element to protect him from harm. While it can't be upgraded like weapons, it can still be improved in a variety of ways to enhance its defense capabilities.
The fundamental idea behind armour is to shield animals or people from physical injury or harm, either from direct physical attack or a range of environmental and activity hazards. Historically, the majority of armour was made of leather or fabric, but metal protections were also employed in military applications, particularly like heavy cavalry and combat drones.
Like weapons there are a myriad of ways in which armor can be upgraded but most will require visiting one of the four Great Fairy Fountains located throughout Hyrule. Each fountain has a unique degree of upgrades available, with more granting greater levels of protection, but needing a higher amount of rupees and materials to unlock.
The first thing you need to know about Armor Upgrades is that they are upgrades that last forever which means that once they've been applied they are not able to be replaced unless you have another piece of equipment that has the same upgrade. It is essential to only apply the highest grade of upgrades to your equipment and that you have the materials needed to complete them.
You can find the upgrade components you require in a variety of places throughout Hyrule. These include shrines, merchants, and even enemies. They're usually identified with the blue triangle or gold circle symbol. They are found in huge numbers as you progress. They may appear randomly however there is a chance that getting certain upgrades will trigger a quest that will reward you with even more.
It's also worth noting that although the level of protection provided by each upgrade is different but it's the same for all upgrades and will always be superior to nothing. This is because a full set of upgraded armour will grant you a high defense boost, which will shield you from all types of attacks except magic, making it a powerful tool for any class.
Weapons
If you're looking to make your guns unique, you can upgrade them with a variety upgrades. These upgrades can increase damage or change the stats of the weapon to match your build. They can also unlock new attachments like unique enchantments and different types of ammo, and aesthetic options.
To upgrade a weapon you'll need to have an upgrade component in place as well as the item itself. The weapon should be at or near an appropriate level to upgrade it. Most weapons can only accept a single upgrade.
Weapon upgrade components can be found all over the world from a variety of sources, including merchants or enemies. boosting items are a mix of components that you can slot into weapons, armors trinkets, gathering tools and trinkets to earn an attribute bonus. They require that the equipment be of a certain degree to accept the upgrade and can be upgraded in the same manner as other items.
The upgrades themselves are a combination of Smithing Stones and Runes, and they can be used to enhance the stats of the base weapon and enhancing its scale with other stats. They can be obtained from enemies dropped in the open world, bought from certain vendors or from combat.
There are two NPCs that can upgrade your weapons: the Blacksmith Hewg in the Roundtable Hold hub area and the Smithing Master Iji in the Road to the Manor hub area. Both of these NPCs accept your Smithing Stones or Runes to upgrade your weapon.
Prioritize upgrading your top-in-slot items first. Then upgrade the ones you're not likely to replace in the near future. If you're planning to play an asymmetrical build, for instance upgrade your weapon, then your chest and shoulders, then your feet and hands. The same principle applies to Magic and Utility Items. But, depending on your playstyle, some procs will be more useful than others. Similar is the case for Armour Reforges, with certain types being better than others.
Magic Items
A character is able to upgrade only one item of magic. If an upgrade project is cancelled then any subsequent upgrades for that item will not begin. Magic items that are upgraded cost twice the amount of gold it would cost to create or purchase, but they can also offer additional benefits.
A magical item is an item with special properties or effects. These are usually weapons, but they can also be armors, shields, cloaks and potions. They can also be rings, scrolls, or other items. Some of these items may be made sentient.
Most magic items can be upgraded to become enhanced with new abilities. This could make them more beneficial to a player or help players overcome difficult situations. A weapon that is infused can provide bonus damage against a particular kind of enemy, for example. This is particularly useful for characters who have reached a point at which they are likely to encounter the same type of monster in dungeons repeatedly.

A ring that is infused with magic may give immunity to non-magical attacks that bludgeon, pierce, or slash (excluding silver-based attacks) until the character takes another long rest. This is particularly useful for melee fighters or any person who wishes to stay clear of buying a shield.
Certain enchanted objects possess special powers which allow the character to cast spells that are not on their class list. This is beneficial for those who are having trouble filling their spell slots because of multiclassing. These magical objects require an Intelligence check (Arcana), and the spell is determined by rolling a table based upon the number of Intelligence point expended.
Other items that are enchanted can allow the user to alter their appearance, or create an entirely new appearance. These can be particularly useful for those who have had to leave their home, or are in a place where they might not be accepted. A magical item could grant them invisibility or make them invisible to anyone, excluding the person they choose to.
Utility Items
Utility items are those that do not fit into the categories of clothing, armor or Weapons and have a range of different capabilities. Unlike Armor and Weapons, no one utility item is able to be in conflict with another. The majority of utility items have a passive effect that the player can activate when using them. Some have additional abilities that can be activated by pressing a button or triggering the skill.
Generally, the most common type of utility item is the Flashlight that is used to illuminate the surrounding area. Other items of utility include the Helicopter Hat and Rocket Boots, which allow players to fly in the air while moving, and the Jetpack that allows the player to accelerate in any direction while on the ground. In the Engineering section, you can quickly create a variety of utility items, while others are unlocked by research projects or experimental projects on the Proving Ground.
Players can gain more powerful utility items in addition to the items they have in their usual inventory by purchasing them from the Atomic Shop or from seasonal Scoreboard rewards. Certain of these items can be upgraded for more efficient use.
The majority of utilitarian items give the player an advantage in navigation or boost a specific combat ability. Sharpening stones, crafted by an Weaponsmith, increase Power and Ferocity while Maintenance Oils, created by an Huntsman can increase concentration and healing power. Other items that are useful can be used by the player to increase Damage or Condition Damage.
All XCOM soldiers are capable of equipping one utilitarian item at the start of the campaign. Later, an additional slot can be obtained by equipping certain types of armor or completing engineering, research or experiments in the Proving Ground. During the Alien Hunters downloadable content, additional slots can be added by equipping an grenade Launcher. This allows players to utilize the Smoke Grenade or Bomb while an offensive grenade remains in the main slot.
